The Pinecroft project in Camp Hill presented an exciting opportunity to create a luxurious new family home on a compact 405-square-metre lot. This high-end build was designed to maximise the use of space, providing a sizeable home and yard for a growing family, all within a small lot setting. Our approach required a thoughtful design that would meet Council’s requirements while offering the client a home that combines spaciousness, elegance, and functionality. One of the project’s unique aspects involved obtaining approval for a secure carport, an addition that enhances the overall usability and privacy of the space.

The project faced some specific challenges, notably with Council’s initial concerns regarding the carport door and the detailing of proposed balustrading. We addressed these challenges by conducting an in-depth analysis of the surrounding neighbourhood character and presenting a case that demonstrated Pinecroft’s alignment with the area’s aesthetic and the intended outcomes of local codes. By analysing similar projects recently approved by the Council, we built a strong case for our approach, ultimately achieving an approval that met both the client’s design aspirations and Council’s regulations.

Our client, who was heavily invested in the design outcome, was highly satisfied with the positive result. They appreciated that our approach not only addressed their immediate vision for a family-friendly space but also took into account the long-term value of the property for future sale.
